The kids are the future

The kids are the future

We are the past,

They have the adventure

We were not meant to last,

Kids embrace the change

While we cling on to past glories,

Kids want something different

We want it all to stay the same,

We need the kids to seize the power

The older generation need to give it up,

We need a new order

Rooted in tolerance, peace and love,

And a greater desire to unify

This is why I am on the kids side,

I’ve had enough of the present bitterness

The discrimination and the hate,

If the kids take the power the future could be great.

    Very true. Once, in the past, we were those kids. Now we have t be willing to make way for them to rise up and take their place.
