It’s a summers day
And it’s such a blast,
Trouble is it goes by to fast
But sweet scent of honeysuckle fills the air
Twittering birds are everywhere,
And plants trail down from hanging baskets where it sit
Busy buzzing bees don’t worry me one bit,
They all add to the thrill which is nature
Something people should take time to savour,
As the warmth radiates down on me
A lake glistens not to far for me to see,
Shimmering through the heat haze
While I while away, this sweet melancholy summer day.
