Run away is all I want to do
From all this pressure and stress,
Of scrimping and scraping through
In a life that’s been so hard it’s true,
And yes I know others have it worse
But I try do hard and see those doing less,
Getting so much more and that hurts
I try not to compare but it’s hard,
The truth is and I just can’t lie
My life has more hard knocks than rewards,
I wonder if one day I’ll get the chance
To live a life less cruel and more hopeful.
