In the dark night we ponder
That’s when our mind wanders,
That’s when we go more deeply
In the moment when we’re more sleepy,
We self assess our life we’re living
Wonder how much more of ourselves we could be giving,
We reflect on change and loss
And we then gauge the cost,
It tends to then make us melancholy
Full of regrets and we feel sorry,
For the mistakes we made and moments where we didn’t care,
In the dark night, that’s when we dare,
Dwell on life and delve within
Before drifting off until the morning,
When we are reborn and begin again.
