We set sail on a journey
In modest little boat,
Down a stream lit by light
On either side,
And the stars shine down on us
Reflecting off the water,
As it rippled as our boat sailed on
Into the future and beyond,
And it was peaceful,
And it was soundless,
It was such a beautiful night,
It was dreamy and picturesque
It was a sheer night time delight,
And as the lantern lights on both sides,
Flickered and slowly went out
Our boat sailed on out of sight,
And I whispered to all goodnight.
