No laws are needed for the good at heart
Those who can define right and wrong apart,
Laws are restricting and they limit us
Just because of others can’t be strong enough,
To act kind and be caring to others they meet
To avoid stealing, or being liars and cheats,
That have a design flaw for corruption and greed
These things mean laws need to be placed on you and me,
That some people have a penchant for killing it seems
For violence and hate, doing things that are mean,
This is why laws are imposed on our society
Because of flawed sentient human beings.
