Feels so good

The sense of my life

Living being kind,

To those that I love

And to those I call friends,

Gives me an immense lift

Keeps my spirits high,

I am driven by compassion

Of this I cannot lie,

Hate is something I can’t do

This toxic feeling I won’t choose,

I prefer the positivity

Not the negative life it’s true,

Maybe that is why I am happy

And contented with this way of life,

And I’ve no need to seek validation from others

To define whether this is wrong or right,

Because it feels so good.

    I have always sought to be a good friend and person. But I did seek validation. I am now learning that I am the only one I need validation from, and I did and do right by them. I now have no need to seek validation by anyone outside myself.
