Nightmare

Laying in bed I heard a noise

A loud few thuds on the floor

The banging and slamming of the doors,

I got up and walked through the rooms

In the darkness within the gloom,

Hairs standing upon my neck

Goosebumps covering my skin,

As I feel my heart racing

Then I notice a window left open wide

It must of been the wind whistling around inside,

Causing all the doors to bang

Not sure though about the bumps on the floor

So I went to go back to where I was before,

Safe and sound laying in my bed

And as I walked back thinking about the time,

How late it was and I was troubled of mind

Then I heard footsteps running from behind,

And as I turned my vision became blind

As I felt powerful hands push against me,

I hit the wall as very hard as it could be

Then I felt claws ripping, slashing and devouring me,

I felt the warmth of the blood gushing and running down me,

As I now struggled hard to breathe

I was dying and it was hard to believed,

Ripped apart by something wanting to eviscerate me

And then everything went black and I couldn’t see,

Then with a jump and start my eyes opened wide

Waking from a nightmare and sweating I sighed,

I could believe in my nightmare I died

I was terrified and I could not lie,

I got up to go into the bathroom

And as I pushed the bedsheets off

I saw my eviscerated body and the blood loss,

Then the creature sprung from the corner gnawing it’s teeth

And then finished me off .
