Black angel

A black angel may come one day

At the end of life and carry me away,

I hoped for an angel adorned in white

One that would not cause me a fright,

But who knows, I have tried to do right

But I am flawed I know alright,

But I hold out hope and wish for the best

Hope for the the good deeds I will be blessed,

And hopefully my sins and flaws will be forgiven

But if they are not then I’ll be driven,

Into a place that I may not choose

But my strength and my faith I will not lose,

And I’ll stand defiant in the dark angel realms

I’ll find a ship and command the helm,

And sail in search of sanctuary

Or some place else where I can exist and be free.

  2. I like it despite the contemporaneousness of Black Lives Matter (I prefer “Black Lives Matter, too”) You’re sure on a roll!
