Hold my hand

Take my hand don’t let it go

Outside it’s winter and there’s snow,

It’s so peaceful it’s so quiet

In our house all now has gone so silent,

Hold my hand don’t let it go

We hold a secret that we both know,

You are fading slowly away

Leaving me for the ethereal plains,

But I can’t bare it, it’s too much

We share way too much love,

Fire it to fade away to grey

On this cold silent snow covered winter’s day,

And all is silent and all is calm

Peaceful now yet in my arms,

I feel you as you slip away

Hold my hand and don’t let go,

Is what repeat over and over again

Then I feel you’re gone from me,

Your body is still and your spirit is free

And I shed my tears as my heart bleeds,

My darling I hope you sleep peacefully.
