The younger me was so much different
In many ways but was still reticent,
As I am now to show my individuality
To express myself the way I wish to be,
But back then I believed in rebellion
Of people rising up and questioning our government,
Something don’t change, except for lack hair and wrinkles
I’ve aged in looks and body but not in principles,
Within I feel the younger me still fighting for change
Something’s with me will never diminish with my age.
You look gorgeous in this pic!

It really does resonate… I too feel I’m holding back much of the time… it’s not easy to go against the common political flow… but as long as we’re listening to our instincts in the holding back, sometimes perhaps it’s nature’s way of helping us gather strength for the right words and/or moment. Thanks for sharing another lovely poem 🙏💛
