Battered by life
That tries to beat you down,
We live under a system
That knocks you to the ground,
And you’re the only one who can pick yourself up
Because no one else will do it,
Do we have to buck our ideas up,
We have to endure all the hardships
While still coming back for more,
It’s about attrition and life’s like a fucking war
We are not going to survive this
But we must make of it the best we can,
Being you’re own fucking hero and make that stand,
And stare life right back in the eye and let it knows you understand,
That no matter who tough and hard it gets
You fight to survive as long as you can,
Show life your defiant side.
