The rise of a new Queen

A gutteral cry from a dying man

Next to him a big man stands,

Decides it’s time to render the dying man silent

Strikes him with axe blow so brutal and violent,

Think nothing of this compassionless act

Just how you’d expect this tyranny to react,

While on a battlefield of cut up bodies

After a fight so desperate and bloody,

Big man tyrant marches on

Goes to his horse looks at the battle he won,

His men to weary and wounded to cheer

Many still suffering from fear,

Big man tyrant looks around and sneers,

Holds his axe high in the air and roars

He was victorious despite the furore,

Then suddenly his eyes are open wide

The shock and the horror he cannot hide,

Turns and sees a young girl

Standing by his foes flag which is unfurled,

She has a long bow in her hand

And says defiantly ‘ that was for my dad’,

Big man tyrant with arrow in neck

Cannot reply he can only retch,

She aims and fires once again

Strikes him again in the head,

He falls from his horse, becomes just another corpse

His men are all surprised of course,

But also glad to see the end of him

Now there’ll be no more warmongering,

The girl walks off with tears in her eyes

Towards her father lies,

She’ll ensure his body is buried tonight

Now there’s no more battle no more fight,

The soldiers all disperse and walk away

From a scene so grisly and a act so insane,

The girl so grief stricken never knew she was so brave

But didn’t care about anything except digging a grave,

To lay her father’s body to rest

A victim of such a fucking blood fest,

She’ll grow to become a  warrior Queen

She doesn’t know it yet but she will believe,

She’ll wear leather and she’ll wear lace

She’ll defend her people and trace,

And kill anyone who comes her way

That are filled with violence and filled with hate,

She’ll build her people a better more advanced place

In which to live in peace and grace,

And it will all stem from this single act this day

Where big man tyrant she so easily slayed,

And as time passed shell realise that she was that brave

And people will talk and spread these tales,

Of how she took down a mighty king

And how her people then will anoint her as their Queen,

Clad in leather and in lace a dangerous beauty

But make no mistake, she’ll show love for her people,

She wants to live though in peace today

Beyond all else because her heart is so selfless,

So now down to the warrior Queen in leather and lace

Then drop to their knees an offer up praise,

For they hope they’ll never be another battle or war

Ever again in this, their age.
