The voice in me

I never believe I am good enough

What ever I do is not going to work,

Everything I do will never come to much

That’s how I feel, that’s how life is,

No matter how o try there’s always this voice

Saying you’re wasting your time,

All you do will never count that much

It demotivates you and brings you down,

Believing you are not smart enough

And no matter how positive you try to be,

No matter what you try to visualize and see

I’ll always hear that voice telling me,

Everything I do is a waste of time and foolhardy

I runs within subconsciously and ingrains in your belief,

That I’ll always be a nobody

Even though I know everyone is somebody,

I don’t believe it applies to me.

  1. That voice is not yours. Those are implanted thoughts meant to manipulate your life. Do not accept them as your own.

  2. I think good, wonderful people are often critical of themselves, while cruel assholes have huge egos. I have a critical voice too, I beat myself up over many things. It’s important to stand up to the inner critic. Hate is not what we are, we are beautiful and powerfully good. 🙏❤️

      1. You’re welcome, Faux. Your poem resonated with me strongly. I think you have a lot to feel proud of, your writing is consistently compassionate and truthful and that says volumes about your character. ❤️hugs to you my friend🙏

  3. I’m not going to hit “like” because it doesn’t apply to you. You are very much worthy, just listening to the wrong voice my friend. Believe me though, I get it. I used to feel the same way.
