Police brutality
I it’s not a myth,
You’ll find out
If you try and resist,
Overstepping their powers
And inflicting pain,
In those who they decide to blame,
For peaceful protesting
Or for minor crimes,
It’s always the poor
And the peaceful
They come down on each time,
If they decide we cross the line,
Of what they think is acceptabl
Taser you, beat you
And push you down on the floor,
Put a knee on your neck
And keep you firmly in check,
The government bully boys
Who dressed in blue,
Coming down hard on me and you
With their racist and callous ideals,
They brutalise people in truth
Using force they’re not authorised to use,
Doing things nobody should do,
And when the force of law becomes the law of force
They no long serve and protect
Which is what they’re paid to do.
