Hopes and dreams that go unfulfilled
Slowly fade and are killed,
By a failure to act and to strive for them
They become just missed opportunities in the end,
And our potential to be more than who and what we are
And what we could actually be,
Slides by unnoticed and so we don’t succeed
Is it because we lack the discipline, the dedication are we just lazy?
Wasted chances that we didn’t chase
Hard realities we refuse to face,
Dares and risks lay in our wake
Because we were simply to scared to take,
And it was so much easier and convenient to stay within what we feel is safe.
