Political people

Can be very loquacious,

They never stop talking

Even though they talk shit,

How can so many people

Come together to chat about

Our precarious climate,

And yet say nothing

And come to the conclusion

That they don’t need to act,

Some of them didn’t even turn up

Maybe they’re to afraid to face facts.

Governments are not the answer

Politicians won’t save the world,

They’re to busy lining they’re own pockets

And trying hard to accumulate wealth,

They don’t care about our planet

Or even about humanities health,

They won’t be around so what’s it matter

What hand our kids are dealt,

In a grim and apocalyptic future

Where you can’t grow food

And it’s getting hotter and hotter,

For to many people it’s just to inconvenient

But it won’t be them that faces

The truth and the consequences,

It’ll be their children,

These loquacious fucking people in power

Need to be held accountable for

Us all moving further and much closer,

To humanities final doomsday hour

Where in the end were all going to burn in the fires,

Because them and their governments chatted shit

Rather than doing anything about our precarious climate,

And if you ain’t vexed about this

Then you probably just don’t understand it,

And your ignorant and you don’t know the truth.
