How it all began

He stood triumphant

A king indeed,

Stood within a circle

If men that bleed,

In devastation

At his royal feet,

Ensuring the preservation

Of his noble seat,

He stands victorious

In his regal way,

This was his glorious day

Nothing could rob him,

Of this fame on the battlefield

He had now slain his nemesis,

And there would be no one now

In his way to resist,

Him taking lands

That would make him rich,

Hut upon a hill on high

He saw a lone rider,

Watching, etched against the sky

A young and beautiful,

Warrior, goddess, Queen to be

Watching on, studying,

Observing, intently

Dressed in shining armour,

Dressed in leather and lace

Her demeanor powerful

Yet still resonating grace,

She was unknown yet

But in time to come,

She would ensure this kings reign

Would be undone, at her hands,

But he never saw the threat

He just saw a young woman,

In time to come

When laying on the field wounded,

He would wonder why

He didn’t catch and kill her now,

Instead he smiled a grizzly smile

Then mockingly bowed,

While unbeknownst to him

Her father lay at his feet dying,

Yet she kept her stoic look

Even though inside, she was crying,

What would happen next

Is a series of stories and tales,

Of how she would be driven to win

By the scene she now sat watching,

And the sound of time

In her head tick tocking,

Iike a drum beat, marking down

This kings final curtain.
