There’s a streak of wickedness

And it’s within our society,

The government can now strip people of their citizenship

What a harsh place this can be,

And not enough people are objecting

Because secretly this is something on which they agree,

But what if it was there door that was being knocked

In the so called land of the free,

Will you then realise it was all ok

When it was others that this applied to

But I never realised the nightmare it was until they came for me,

To much power does corrupt when placed in the wrong hands

And this is certainly proving to be true with a xenophobic, racist government in command.
