Bring the government to its knees

A government that lies and is corrupt

Is not worthy of power,

We should be sending a message

That they face their final hours,

Where they try to stop our freedom

To protest which is part of our liberty,

We should be burning their system

We should be bringing it to its knees,

So maybe it is time we should.

  1. Definitely need more discussion and consciousness of such things which would then lead to suitable protests and pushing for changes at the right times. It kind of hit me yesterday that it doesn’t matter how aware yourself or a few others may become of how unfair the system is, because as long as most people are either gullible and easily swayed or simply apathetic out of pessimism/laziness, then all you’re going to be able to do is just watch things get worse, because you’ll never get the necessary numbers for protests for them to make the news. And whilst I didn’t think most people could possibly fall into that trap, I’ve realised that this is actually the situation. Campaigners/activists are rare. Philosophical conversations are rare.

    1. I’ve also realised how the Nazis came to exist. It just takes a certain person and a concerted propaganda campaign. There was nothing special about the general population at the time.

      1. Again completely right, a concerted propaganda campaign based around peoples fears and insecurities, suggesting that their homes, jobs and money are at risk from those not the same as them.

    2. You are exactly right in what you say, apathy and malaise has set in and a lot fear people are prepared to demonstrate. You think back to the poll tax riots or CND marches, it’s unlikely you’d see the same today.
