Do you ever feel
Is if you’re suffocating,
Under an avalanche of emotions
And overwhelming feelings,
As to whether we can cope
And if we can grow and prosper,
While remaining true to self
Rather than just being an imposter,
Lacking authenticity, lost to self
Drowning in the misery,
Of suffering from ill health
Caused by stress and anxiety,
Which cause us hurt and pain
And when you think you’ve weathered it,
The avalanche comes down again
Crushing us and suffocating us,
And you struggle so hard to breathe
And that somehow this is the cause,
Of our repeated struggle to break free.
Yesssss! Must be something in the air -lol ❤️last evening whammo- the avalanche ( I called it a shit storm) came rushing in. I thought I was past those types of feelings. Apparently not. Then on my walk with god this morning I laughed as I heard -“that’s what it’s all about – the shit, getting through the shit and then more shit.” Ha ha – that’s it. Thank you for you post and you share it so eloquently ❤️💜❤️

Beautifully penned as always… definitely relatable. I’ve often felt this way and I’ll venture to say so do many… I find in midlife especially, juggling all there is to balance… relationships, kids, aging parents, work, household… can be overwhelming. Wonderful poetry! 🙏💗
