Traversing through a jungle
The whole jungles on fire
Balancing on a synthetic wire,
Looking down on the flames as they burn
Yet all life carries on without concern,
Do they not see the fire and the danger that comes?
Are they so immune to it or have they been struck dumb?
And as many burn within the flames
The rest around seem now to be numb,
Up here on the wire in the jungle fire I feel as if I am done,
What hope or or salvation can there be
When even the flock of sheep refuse to flee,
At the sight of a wolf that stealthily tracks them
It’s not a matter now if they die just a matter of when,
But just like their impending fire they seem to not care
I fire off a warning, a signal a red flare,
Yet still there’s no movement but then I hear a sound
A voice that reassures them that is calm and profound,
Saying you’ve nothing to fear, we’ve got it all under control
A mechanical mantra that does not care for their souls,
And the message that plays come from those in a safe place
And they’re only interest is protecting their own ways,
The rest they can perish, the rest they can burn,
As long as those who are in charge make it
Then everything’s fine, for the creatures of the jungle they never learn,
And generation of them follow suit taking it in turn,
To exist , suffer and die because of the lies
That they’re safe because they’ve been taught that is the case,
By those who have taught them by those who domesticate
The creatures of the jungle who then do as they’re told are not awake,
And the fires that they will burn in will never grow cold
And the endless and mindless march will continue on
Of those creatures in the jungle who follow do not know this is wrong,
The only ones that will be saved are those that questioned this all along.
