I speak honestly

I speak the truth,

I say it how it is

Out of courage,

And without fear

For many people live,

A life of lies

Inconvenient truths,

And questioning why

The believe as they do,

Is against their code

Worried it casts them out,

Into the cold

Out of the fold,

Feel their lives are sold,

Easier to keep

The lie always alive,

Continue to think

Their conditioning

It’s still alright,

That everything

That they have been taught,

Is not wrong

And wasn’t learned for nought,

Whereas I challenge

Everything I’ve ever known,

Willing to say that’s wrong

And happy to show,

Others that I am willing to change,

To move with the time

To meet the new age.
