Everything is getting tighter
It’s getting harder to live,
Those who have wealth
Are uncaring and dismissive,
The gap between the haves
And the suffering have not,
Could not be wider now
But we’re told to accept our lot,
But when your children cry
And it’s hopeless to stop,
When your pockets are empty
And you feel as a parent you’ve flopped,
But everything is rising
Like energy, food and fuel costs,
And then they post massive profits
It leaves me astounded and at a loss,
How can they make people suffer like this
Money and profits first is all about greed,
What about the people
Everyone that is in need,
Governments and corporations
Are not worried about our inability to eat,
Or the difficulty to support our families.
