Don’t poison your system

Don’t go damaging your health,

Don’t be fueling with alcohol

Firing it up with drugs,

For all these poisonous substances

Make life a whole lot more tough,

It wrecks you and destroys you

And messes up your life,

It’s not about if it’s wrong or right

It blurs your true and clear vital insights,

And if governments wanted to stop this

You know they absolutely can,

But it is anaesthetic for the people

And makes you far easier to command,

You don’t ask questions or pose a threat

You’re just looking for the next fix,

So you’re no problem you’re no activist

You’re just a wreck that’s high or simply pissed,

And you’re better than this and worth more

I’ve done the whole drink binge, I have fought that war,

It poisons you and it messes up your mind

And it causes you to become depressed,

So you drink more but do you realise alcohol a depressant,

It’s a spiraling down of mental and physical health

It’s a crutch many say but that’s not true,

It’s a poison, it’s a dangerous habit that one day you’ll rue,

So choose sobriety as a life

Detox yourself and life will feel bright,

Cleanse yourself of the poisons from your body, mind and soul

Cast aside the drugs and the alcohol,

They are there to keep you under while out of control

They want you too drunk or stoned to know,

Clean up yourself and it’ll clean up your life

Detox anyway you can and take care and control and you’ll be alright.
