Keep yourself private

Don’t let others know too much about you,

When you reveal too much to them

They will take any opportunity to use it against you,

Remain a mystery to others so that they don’t know

Which road or journey your life will flow,

The last thing you need is them to follow

Only to blame you when they get it wrong,

Because people love to blame everyone else for their problems

And seldom admit to making bad decisions,

So keep yourself private and to yourself

To protect your own sanity and mental health,

And do that others can’t use what they know about you

To their advantage to give you abuse.
