With his ruby, sandbag and his helm,

He walks the streets and watches as we sleep

The sandman is the guardian of nightmares and dreams,

He comes from a kingdom of fantasy

He creates and builds up his dynasty,

To be wondrous and beautiful like a picturesque scene

The sandman is to us a mystery,

But he has guarded our nightmares and dreams throughout our history.
