Those who rule are cruel

Why are those who rule so cruel

And why is it we vote for them like fools

A few exceptions I can probably name

But many others are greedy and seeking fame,

The thing they all share is not accepting blame

I am not sure why we allow their games,

These rulers are so cruel and know no shame.

    In Tubularsock’s opinion, the answer to your poem is really rather simple. So many don’t want to take responsibility for their own lives. They foolishly choose to give up autonomy for “safety”.

    Great poem which covers a lot of ground …………. saves ink, Tubularsock supposes.
