Don’t be fooled

You say immigrants steal jobs and houses

But you know that ain’t true

It’s just the lie the racist right has fed you,

You know they don’t do this in reality

And if you studied it you’d know it’s the truth

Just like they don’t steal jobs from me and you,

Man don’t be that fool, don’t be used

Don’t let these haters exploit you,

To spread the lies, which aren’t based in facts

Reconnect to empathy, tolerance and love

Which at the moment you clearly lack,

Because they’ve filled your mind with fear

Question everything you hear,

When it comes from a place of negativity

It’s toxic and is so clear,

Rooted in people who feel somehow

Inadequate and inferior and allow,

Prejudice and discrimination fill their lives

Which are cold and shallow,

Open your eyes, your heart and mind

And you’ll realise over a period of time,

That diversity is what makes this place so great

And yeah it’s not just one colour, race or faith that hates,

So I speak to all when I say don’t be fooled

We’re all one family, one race ain’t that the truth,

Stop being divided by those who rule

Or have ambitions to control and use you,

Rise above all this and see these words are truth

I only say this because man, I love you.
