Standing in the corner

Laying in my bed I see

Someone standing in the corner,

Watching over me

It would give most people the creeps,

But they’re not a malicious entity,

They are a shadow figure

That I can’t make out or see,

But I don’t believe they mean

To bring any fear or harm to me,

I see them in the corner of my room

I see them there in the gloom,

They never cause me to be frightened

In fact I feel reassured that they are there,

As I lay here I see them standing aware,

That they know o can see them as well

Maybe we have a connection

But I am not really sure,

But I think they’re there to watch over me

Without judgement but that’s yet to be seen,

They dispel any nightmares

So I only have good dreams,

They stand in the corner of my room

And that’s really alright by me.

  1. I’ve never had the experience but a friend has. I am sure if the presence was threatening you would know, you would feel it.
