Crestfallen

Crestfallen my life is now desolate

My mind at this moment is ready to break,

In a land beyond all conscious reality I lay

I see a beautiful glade where imps play,

It gives me solace but for merely a moment

Then I return to the reality of being desolate,

But I feel within that I can be more resolute

If I can frame myself in mind with some more imaginary,

It may just stop me from going crazy

Dwelling in a fantasy as a means of escape

Sitting on the edge of Windermere lake,

Seeing the mirror perfect reflection dazzling,

Takes me to places that help me dream more

Resonating with my spiritual chakra core,

Lifting me out of this reality so brutal and in love with war

Whereas I find it obscene and I need much more,

That I know I can find in meditation, reading and dreams

The truth is our conscious minds set us all free,

To create new landscapes, stories and scenes

That helps us escape a break free from life’s violent causality.
