Politics is not intellectual

It is primarily self-serving,

Politics is about greed

And for those least deserving,

Politics is about callousness

And has never been caring,

Politics is for narcissists

Who deny equality and sharing.

    You are 100 percent right. It’s so sad that those in power care little for those they are supposed to be serving.
