Imagine feeling you’re the only one
On this earth and feeling all alone,
That despite the billions living here
That nobody else comes close or near,
And that everyone who passes you by
Disregards you in the same way they do fly’s,
How alien and strange would that feel
As if your existence had no real appeal,
I wonder if, you could live like this?
I wonder if, you could survive living it?
So why do some and why don’t we change
And make everybody feel that they exist,
As a true human being and not as a fly
Smiling and saying ‘hi’ as they pass by,
So they feel they are liked, now isn’t that kind.
Beautiful poem. I could feel the raw pain and hurt of that loneliness. I love the message of your words. I hope that more people hear it and practice that kindness for their fellow humans.
