Cynicism I thought was a trait of the old

Rooted in experience and bitterness that makes us cold,

But I see young people who have been taught to be this way

What a sad thing to witness or to see displayed,

Cynicism is not a real wholesome trait

It’s grounded in negativity and has no place,

In the minds of people who choose to believe

That the future can be charged positively,

Cynicism has never changed the world for the better,

In fact it usually causes stagnation

It is born out of failure and frustration,

So don’t allow yourself to immerse yourself in this trait

Do not succumb to being cynical in any way today.
