Global conflicts infect our world
War machines and flags unfurled,
Are the diseases caused by mankind
Eroding our environment over time,
Luckily nature is more resilient
If people were a lot less compliant and more militant,
And refused to be a part of the warcraft
If nobody signed up and refused to take part,
Then maybe these conflicts couldn’t escalate
Then we would start seeing the machine break,
If the governments didn’t manage to manipulate
Into thinking fighting for faith or for the state,
It was some kind of heroic act, you’re just throwing your life away
Or taking another’s life and filling graves,
What about this humane or even great
Don’t wave your patriotism at me that way,
Don’t try saying your religion justifies these war games
And then not expect me to see the shame in what you say,
There’s nothing spiritual in killing others in a brutal display
What the fuck is wrong with our species that it acts this way,
Waging war and destruction and causing decay
While at the same time refusing to take the blame,
This is a disease and humanities shame,
That the war machines continue each year to dominate
Obliterating any chance of peace or harmony among states,
So we end up living in a world that brutal men have decided to create
fauxcroft
