Nobody lives for ever
But it hurts when they’re gone,
It’s the pain and grief we all suffer
And it continues on and on,
Defining out existence
I guess we have to learn to accept it,
But what is it we can take from this,
What does it prepare us for?
It seems a cruel twist that comes with living
And I wonder if I can take it anymore.
