There are so many lessons out there for us

And so little time but we cannot rush,

These lessons must be learned in their own time

Many will require us to alter our minds,

And just how we think and how things work

Some lessons will heal us some may hurt,

There are ones that will make us happy and some will make us sad

There are those that won’t make sense and make us mad,

But, it is only the foolish that won’t learn from them

Or think that they actually already know everything,

I advise you to be open to all new experiences,

And in this way we will always grow and evolve

But I am afraid the answer to why we exist will never be solved,

And why do we live such short lives relative to time

Is another question that will always vex the mind,

But the fact we are open and thinking this

It is a sign that you are in some way an existentialist,

Rather than just a person biding time

Waiting for the end and just preparing for when they die.
