Move the pieces
Slot them in place,
Life’s like a chess match
Do you play it safe,
Or go for glory
All guns are blazing,
As if we are amazing
Or are we consistently failing,
And does it matter
As long as we are trying,
From when we’re born
Until we are dying,
There’s so much life
For us to lead,
Don’t sit and watch
From a distant seat,
Get involved
And live life to the full
Don’t be guilty
Of doing nothing at all,
That will not leave a story
Behind to be told,
From whence we were young
To now as we grow old.
Everything’s changing so rapidly… People are forgotten, actions are forgotten – both good and bad… and then again and again, history repeating as if it never happened before.
A game of chess inside a bigger game that keeps reloading the same level with maybe slightly changed textures. Like sand castles on the beach…
