We’re all human and mistakes can happen but it can always be forgiven, as long as we learn from them and not just repeat each mistake time and again, over and over, because it’s harder to take as it shows you do not take care or think about the consequences of the choices you make.

As the original Latin saying goes: “Errare humanum est, perseverare diabolicum”.
Which means persevering in (same) error is diabolic.
True that a failing memory can provide “false positives”, I know that first hand. But when intention is proved there is no more excuse.

As you get older it gets worse, mistakes repeat and memory fails and some people think you are stupid.
