The truth about advancing AI and technology

We must not let AI and technology lead us, don’t let it become our masters and rely on it to feed us, we must not rush to advance at the cost of fellow souls, putting people on the scrapheap before they get old, what will people do when they get so much leisure time, because they can’t get a job because computers and robots do it in half the time and the multi-corporations well they won’t care, because their profits will be soaring and you’ll be living on fresh air, and the rich who will put all this AI and technology in place, won’t give a damn about the human race, they’ll just keep searching for planet B somewhere in outer space as out planet is destroyed through exploitation and all that will be left is waste, which will include both you and me and our families.

  1. A wonderful tale that all should read before leaping into a new technological age. It’s as true now as then my friend 🙏 Faux

Roman Emperor, even then there was an equivalent to mass automation. Let me find a link, I have my favourite anecdote in my archives.

  3. Power should shift hands if we are to allow real and full automation help us – not eliminate us.
A lot of people that today work their asses off all day for a meager loaf of bread might enjoy spare time to engage in some joyful activities, like art, culture, sports etc. Hobbies that have been put aside for lack of time would regain attention and popularity. Spirituality could flourish once again after so much darkness of the mind and spirit.

At least that’s what I hope would happen if everything would be free and machines would be exploited instead of people. But maybe it’s too idealistic and naive, as I said sometime before…

    1. Those who run things won’t pay us to not work in favour of machines. That is a guarantee my friend.🙏

      1. That’s why I mentioned power shifting hands in the first place. As long as the same people are in key places humanity will never evolve but will surely devolve back into the neanderthal we came from.

And we don’t need money, we don’t need to be slaves anymore. Too many people died young without even a dream come true. It’s time we truly lived, not merely survive.

  4. So true, the suppression of the working class will be the time when they are not needed. I doubt that may happen with countries threatening war and nuclear strikes therefore the world we live in may cease to exist before the suppression or alternatively the planet will suffer from extreme weather conditions destroying countries and killing populations as we continue to do little about it.
