Don’t get it twisted or confused

Though I will always give you respect,

Though I may care for you

And be there in all you do,

When it comes to your judgement

Or your perception of me,

I couldn’t really give a care

Because I am happy being me,

Being kind and sharing

Whilst being the authentic me,

Living in the way, that suits my belief

Regardless of what anybody else thinks,

I don’t need no teacher or guru

I require no muse, God or master,

I just need to remain rooted within me.
