How things were before the internet, social media and 1000’s of TV channels, kids outside playing and happy, lot less cars on the roads. We didn’t have much but we were happy and had fun. Today kids are socially anxious, spend all their time on game consoles, laptops, mobile phones and staying in. The important message is when they say ‘look at the unlucky ones below you’, as though you’re fortunate, say I’d rather look up at the lucky ones above you and realise how much they take. The most important thing in life though is learning to be happy and to care for each other.
I so agree on all your points, Faux. Children should be outdoors, having fun and playing – making friends organically. Not on screens, it can’t be good for them. I am so blessed to have grown up before the internet. I cherish those times.
