Oh! how the rich and wealthy gather
In their hordes of money fame and influence
To see the crowning of Charles in his glory
Yet unlike past kings and Queens there are no legendary acts in his story
A monarchy irrelevant save for being tourist entertainment
Bringing in money through its historical brand
It means so little to the working man
Who is suffering under a flaccid, corrupt and failing government
Struggling under a cost of living crisis
Yet having to witness where the rich types spice is
Being lauded in front of us in all its pomp and ceremony
While being told there’s no more money for you and me
So while they regale in their grandeur and affluence
We will have to remain content with a whole lot less as sustenance.
