Not even born equal

We are not even born equal

We are born into either poverty or wealth,

Born into starvation or good health,

And nothing gets better or equal at all

The rich will get simply richer

And the poor will continue to get fuck all,

Unless they are driven and find away out

But when you are down on your luck

Then you are filled with doubts,

Being born rich means receiving good education

Being born poor means you’re lucky if you get any at all,

Being born healthy gives you the strength to go on and do more

Not like those who are born into starvation who are too weak and so flawed,

And society does nothing to try and rectify this balance

Survival of the fittest yet this is plainly unfair,

When one starts with great advantage and the other none at all

From birth one starts on a rise the other fights not to fall,

That’s what is wrong with our humanity and systems

There’s no empathy, compassion or conviction,

To try and ensure the poorer get more

But this thought is something better off people abhor,

Born into wealth and privilege they learn to horde

To ensure that below them we get fuck all at all,

So we fight and we struggle to pull ourselves up

So steal, sell drugs and smuggle and if they do well it’s pure luck,

Most will end up in prisons or will end up dead

But we’re all focused on trying to keep ourselves and our families fed,

Because you can’t rely on society because it just doesn’t care

Because humanity as a whole doesn’t really share.
