Hope

I hope and dream

And I always believe,

In my life and myself

And in my own good health,

Because if I don’t

Then what do I have left,

I believe in the afterlife

And I know many are so bereft,

Of being able to comprehend it

They lack all real imagination,

That must be a real frustration

They can’t think out of the box

For them that box is firmly locked,

So they are remain stuck in their

Turgid, stagnant, uninspiring dreams

Where I remain happy and hopeful,

Because I choose to believe

It’s a form of easing suffering,

And instilling within me relief

It gets me beyond sadness and grief

And that’s what maker my life

Seem that much more complete.
