Behind the lies, the propaganda
Behind the missiles raining down,
Behind and beneath the buildings
That are now just piles of rubble,
Real people who are trying to live real lives
Cry, suffer and die there,
And you wonder how much
The brutal military men and politicians
Actually really and absolutely care,
I think they don’t, I think they think
We are all just collateral damage,
In their games of human destruction
And yet amid the bombed out construction,
The tears stain every inch of what is left.
