Facing your fears

There is a school of thought that we should face our fears, but what that only causes us trauma and tears, if the fears are in the past and not impacting now, tell me why bring them back to life and how, is this going to help, leave them dead and buried, it’s ok to have things you never wish to face, it’s not running away, it’s just moving on, focus on the present and on the good things going on, this will overwrite the once problems that you had, that will ease your fears and cause no more trauma and tears, I do not see the point in putting yourself through needless suffering, time in life is short, so we must enjoy while we can and none of us are perfect so why bother giving a damn.
