I found a note from someone desperate

Pinned on a public building wall,

Saying they were isolated and in danger

And that made me realise,

That even in this so-called advanced western life,

Slavery still exists and people trafficking persists

And the truth is it’s as much as it always did,

So I passed the note on to those who deal with this,

And I hope it helps and this person is freed

From a life suffering misery in captivity,

And I hope they get their life back

I could not ignore or brush off a note like that,

My thoughts and prayers go out to all of those

Facing the same kind of horrors and woes,

We need to do more to all demand change

To some how to try to eliminate,

This cruel slavery and people trafficking trade.
