There’s a new year coming
And it’s arriving with new hope,
New opportunities for those with the scope,
To be aware, and to see the signs
For those who are not systemically blind,
But have eyes open as to their mind
People embrace this celebration time,
And be ready to make the next year bright
By showing your potential and shining your light,
Live in each present moment
And put behind you the past,
Nothing and no one goes on forever nothing lasts,
For those that we lost we’ll fly our flags at half mast
Before we set sail strong and fast,
Into the new year on a journey of discovery
Finding ourselves and building our recovery,
From everything that’s gone before,
And that has weighed us down
It’s a new year, new hope, that now abounds.
