The new year ends on a negative

But what can you do,

Pick yourself up ain’t that the truth,

Don’t let others spoil your view

Of what the new year will hold for you,

If others see a problem with you it is not yours

Just their perceptions we’ve all got flaws,

But moving on forward if they close their doors

You just have to carry on and not let it gnaw,

At the center of your being, although it breaks your heart

That they will act this way and tear you apart,

But you’ll heal over time and recover enough

That you won’t ever stop sharing love,

With them and yourself just because they have

I won’t let it knock me off track,

Of trying hard to be the best person I can be

I am just glad I didn’t judge them, like they judge me.
